Chelsea, for all their spending on the first-team, continue to scour the younger leagues around Europe for up and coming talent.

It might not be as extensive as it once was, but we still get the odd story of the Blues being keen on a 16 or 17-year-old from time to time, with Elias Solberg one of them.

Unfortunately for those in charge of such matters at Chelsea, the young Norwegian winger, currently playing for Ullensaker/Kisa IL in his country’s second-tier, has decided to try his luck in Italy.

This comes from Corriere Torino, who report on Wednesday that Juventus are the ones to have won the race for the 17-year-old, who has three goals and two assists in 16 appearances so far this season in the OBOS-ligaen.

A target for the Serie A side ‘for months’, the forward saw a renewed effort from them over the past few weeks, which proved decisive.

Adding a bit of drama, Corriere Torino say Juventus ‘burned’ Chelsea along the way, as well as the likes of Molde, Brøndby and Midtjylland.

You win some, you lose some.
