Sampdoria are set to make a new attempt to sign Bryan Gil from Tottenham Hotspur, according to the latest reports from Italy.
Outlet SampNews24 writes that the Serie A side’s new bid for the winger will be made ‘in the next few hours’.
It’s recalled that Sampdoria had already been in talks with Tottenham for the move. And since Spurs ‘don’t want to lose control over the player’, they were only willing to let him go out on a loan deal. For that, they demanded €2.5m.
The Serie A club considered that amount to be too much, and despite stepping back at the time, they’re now set to put their offer on the table and see how Antonio Conte’s side will react.
It’s once again claimed that Gil is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans for the season, and Tottenham’s intention is to let him leave again to gain further experience. He spent the first half of the year on loan at Valencia, and despite the interest from Spanish clubs, Sampdoria insist on trying to clinch a deal.
