Torino remain determined to sign Nikola Vlasic on a permanent deal from West Ham United but will need €15m to do so.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the Italian club are still keen on signing the loanee to a permanent contract following his strong start to life at the club.
They explain that the big stars at Torino are all currently on loan, with Vlasic joined by Nemanja Radonjić, who signed from Marseille, and Alexey Miranchuk, who joined from Atalanta.
A deal for Radonjić has already been secured for €2m and for ‘all intents and purposes’ he is already a permanent member of the Granata squad, but the same can’t be said for his teammates.
Torino will need €15m if they are to sign Vlasic from West Ham permanently, a ‘substantial sum’ for the club.
It’s one they may be willing to pay, though, as he is ‘doing very well’ at the club, scoring three goals in the league and ‘almost always’ being one of their better performers.
Miranchuk will cost another €12m, so €27m is needed in total for the pair, but Torino are ‘betting a lot’ to get the deals done and satisfy manager Ivan Juric who wants them permanently to help the team ‘make the leap in quality’.
There is no mention of West Ham’s stance, but we can assume they’re happy for it to go through given they’ve already replaced Vlasic.
It has been made clear they’re not willing to offer discounts on the player and it seems Torino won’t look for it anyway. That said, the Serie A way is always to ask for discounts from Premier League clubs, so it can’t be ruled out they’ll give it a try.
