Barcelona are beginning to tire of Raphinha’s attitude as his move from Leeds United continues to fail to work out.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who say a recent outburst from the Brazilian forward has gone down badly with the Spanish side’s technical staff.

The newspaper explains that those around Barcelona ‘begin to tire’ of Raphinha and his public outbursts, of which there have been several already this year.

The latest of those came in the clash with Getafe, in which he played 87 minutes but reacted with anger when brought off by manager Xavi in the dying minutes. Raphinha is clearly frustrated he’s not got the same prominence he had at Leeds United.

That ‘fell badly’ among the technical staff and his teammates, who believe that Raphinha is ‘going too far’ in his consistent public complaints.

Xavi tried not to add fuel to the first when asked about the latest incident post-match, but the reality is that Raphinha’s attitude goes again the family attitude that Xavi wants to instil at the club. He wants the group to be put over the individual and Raphinha is not doing that.

It’s not the first time that the player’s attitude has been questioned since his move from Leeds United in the summer.

He also publicly displayed his displeasure when being substituted against Manchester United in the Europa League, leaving the field ‘grumbling’ as well as kicking a cooler and punching the seats.

He insisted that would not happen again but has not followed through with that promise, instead showing an attitude that those in charge of Barcelona are less than happy about, with their also being incidents in training in which Xavi has had to intervene.

It’s left a growing sense of frustration and disappointment as Barcelona had followed him closely at Leeds United and the move was backed by Xavi in the summer. Indeed, his faith in the player was shown by the fact they pushed through with a move despite Ousmane Dembele signing a new contract.

Now they ‘begin to tire’ of his attitude and failure to be a team player, something it seems could lead to him being moved on come the summer.
