The Spanish outlet report on Wednesday that Valencia are very close to getting the Belgium international on loan, described as being ‘in pole position’ to sign him, despite interest from many other clubs.
The operation is said to have ‘advanced’ quite a lot over the past few days, and the other suitors have been told he will be going to Valencia if he does exit the club this summer.
There’s a few ifs in there, so this isn’t guaranteed, and he could still leave after the transfer window shuts in England, since this is an outgoing and not an incoming.
