Ousmane Dembélé continues to make headlines due to his contract situation and the reported interest shown by the likes of Manchester United, Juventus and others.

His current deal runs down in 2022 and Barca want to secure his long-term future.

Sport claim the winger’s agent has not responded to the renewal offer and it has left his club ‘angry’. This has forced them to issue an ultimatum to the 24-year-old’s representative, to ‘respond immediately’ to their proposal.

For now, ‘there is little hope’ the winger will renew, even though he wants to sign a new deal. That’s because of his agent, and Barca are said to have ‘first-hand information’ of the meetings and talks he has had with other clubs, ‘especially Manchester United and Juventus’.

The club are pressuring their player to cut ties with his representative and commit his future to them, but so far, they haven’t managed to get any clear picture on this case.

Without a renewal, the Spanish club plan to make money from the ex-Borussia Dortmund man’s sale in the winter market, but he may not be in favour this.

Therefore, they plan to send him to the stands if he decides not to sign an extension.

Sport say the attacker will ‘double his salary’ in the Premier League and Italy, where Manchester United and Juventus are named as suitors. If he renews, it will only be for sporting reasons because the new deal will see him take a pay cut.
