There appears to be a bit of hype in Turkey these days amid claims that Leeds United want to sign Bright Osayi-Samuel.
The interest from the Whites is nothing new, as they have been after him for a while, but Fenerbahçe have always stood strong in the past.
However, this could change in the summer, as Gazete Damga claim Leeds have made a £7m bid for the player.
That would be a big move at this stage of the season, especially with no guarantees of a return to the Premier League just yet, so we’re taking that part with a pinch of salt for now.
That being said, Gazete Damga do add that those in charge at Fenerbahçe ‘requested that the negotiations’ be pushed back ‘until the summer’, which makes a lot of sense.
They have said they want to see what their own future holds, and did not ‘want to make a decision’ on what happens to their player before the end of the campaign.
After all, that would be the most logical approach, and one that makes the most sense at this moment in time.
Therefore, if Leeds have indeed put £7m on the table, that hasn’t been rejected, but just pushed to one side for the time being with a pin placed in it.
