The transfer of Yannick Bolasie from Everton to Sporting continues to get a lot of attention from the Portuguese media.

On Tuesday, the day after the move, we had a story showing all the reaction from the local press. At the time, only one outlet said the loan deal included an option to buy.

It was Record, claiming that the Lions can sign the player permanently for an amount of €4.5m.

Then on Wednesday, Sporting president Frederico Varandas confirmed there was a clause, without revealing the numbers. And today, newspaper A Bola comes up to confirm it’s €4.5m.

A Bola writes that a month ago, Everton had been demanding €10m, but made a huge discount for the player to move on deadline day.

This is a report which makes sense, because just yesterday, we covered claims from Portugal saying Bolasie was offered to Sporting twice before making the move, and the transfer only happened once the conditions seemed good enough for the Lions.
