At this point, it almost seems that an exit from Ansu Fati will happen, and it just remains to see where he will land, with Tottenham a possibility.

That’s been widely covered on Wednesday, and a report from Marca claimed Spurs were in advanced negotiations to get a deal done.

It’s all very exciting, but Sport put the brakes on a move to Tottenham, despite Barcelona and Jorge Mendes trying to send the player there.

That’s from journalist Toni Juanmarti, who states that both the club and the agent are ‘pushing’ for Ansu to accept the Spurs option, which would be a loan, but the player has ‘always reiterated’ that he would rather join a ‘top’ team.

He has his eyes on moves to the likes of Atlético Madrid and Liverpool, but those would only open up for him if the likes of Yannick Carrasco and Mohamed Salah were to leave.

Therefore, Tottenham fans might have to wait a bit longer to see Fati in a white shirt, as he might try and delay things for as long as possible in hope that one of the two players above leave their clubs and create an opening for him.

Should that not happen, then maybe, just maybe, the idea of playing regularly for Spurs will entice him more than sitting on the bench at Barcelona.
