Paris Saint Germain’s chase for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane today gets an interesting update from the French media.
Foot Mercato is the one writing that the Ligue 1 side have two main targets to reinforce their attack this summer.
One of them is Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who’s been having a wonderful season in Serie A and is also wanted by Premier League clubs.
The alternative is then Harry Kane, and according to Foot Mercato, PSG advisor Luis Campos has already spoken to the entourage of the Tottenham player.
It’s said this meeting took place ‘in recent days’, with the French club willing to ‘test the waters’ and find out the striker’s plans for the summer window.
PSG want a goalscorer to help Kylian Mbappé next season, and see both of the options as great solutions for that problem.
Despite reporting the meeting, Foot Mercato doesn’t say whether Kane’s response was positive. It’s also hard to say whether PSG will be able to convince Tottenham of a sale, but judging by the two targets they have on the table, it seems clear they’re prepared to spend big in the summer.
