VfB Stuttgart ‘would have to’ accept an offer from Chelsea for defender Borna Sosa should it arrive this summer.

That’s according to Heidenheimer Zeitung, who say the German club would be forced to sell for anything around €25m.

The newspaper explains that while media reports are again linking Chelsea with the left-back, Stuttgart have not received a ‘concrete offer’ as yet.

Those reports have indicated Chelsea would be willing to offer as much as €28m to sign Sosa this summer, and HZ say if that were to become a reality, Stuttgart ‘would have to’ accept it.

That’s because they desperately need the money for their own transfer business but also because they have ‘assured’ the 24-year-old that he can leave this summer.

In fact, they’ve told the full-back that he can go for €25m, so an extra €3m being put on the table by Chelsea would certainly not be refused.

However, apart from the supposed interest, nothing has been ‘deposited’ at the club so far, and there is nothing to indicate, at least as far as BZ are concerned, that is going to change soon.
