With Lucas Moura making it clear that he will be leaving Tottenham at the end of the season, many clubs are already fighting for his signature.
A return to Brazil isn’t expected to happen yet, as the player feels he can still perform in Europe before heading back to his home country, and there is now Fenerbahçe knocking on his door.
This comes courtesy of Sabah in Turkey, who claim the side are in the middle of a ‘scramble to persuade’ the 30-year-old to choose them when he leaves Tottenham.
In fact, they are ‘accelerating their attempts’ to sign him, and with the Turkish transfer window being extended until March 5th, they still have time to get this sorted.
Because all the other major European transfer windows have now closed, they ‘do not have a rival’, and that is why they are trying to add the Tottenham man to their squad ‘immediately’.
They are in an ‘advantageous position’ at this moment in time, and it’s suggested that if Fenerbahce can reach an agreement with Moura, then they ‘will not pay a transfer fee’ to Spurs.
As things stand, they have offered him a three-year deal and an annual wage of €2.5m/year.
