PSV Eindhoven have abandoned a plan to try and sign Tyrell Malacia from Manchester United amid concerns over his fitness.
That’s according to Soccer News, who report that Malacia had been on PSV’s list of options but has now been discarded.
They explain that the Dutch champions are currently exploring the transfer market extensively and Malacia’s name had appeared on their list of potential targets.
The matter had moved forward, and the Manchester United man had seemed like he could become an option but it quickly became apparent that his fitness would be a problem.
PSV believe that the defender will need some time to get properly fit and those fitness worries saw them abandon any plans to sign him from Manchester United.
They have completely discarded the idea and are now switching their attention to other possible reinforcements instead.
Soccer News add that Malacia’s situation at Manchester United can be labelled as ‘crazy’, with his injury problems now meaning he hasn’t featured since May 2023.
Those injury issues have now put any transfer back to the Netherlands to bed too, with PSV quickly pulling away when they saw the situation for themselves.
