Galatasaray want to make another attempt to sign Mohamed Elneny after failing to take him away from Arsenal in the last window.

The midfielder has not featured for the Gunners since the end of August and is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates.

Earlier this month, Fanatik reported Fatih Terim, the Süper Lig side’s coach, has demanded the 29-year-old’s signing in January to solve the club’s midfield issue.

Galatasaray received encouragement in their pursuit of Mikel Arteta’s man when Fotomaç stated on Tuesday the north London club are ready to let the Egypt international leave for an ‘affordable price’.

Similar claims were been made in the British press and it’s also relayed by Turkish newspaper Akşam.

They then go on to add the Premier League club’s stance means Gala no longer have a big issue with signing the player in the winter market.

His compatriot, Mostafa Mohamed, is a ‘close friend’ of the Gunners man and the striker is involved in the signing efforts as he has ‘convinced Elneny to come to Galatasaray’.

The Arsenal midfielder seems to willing to join the Istanbul based club as Akşam’s title states Elneny is ‘counting the months for Galatasaray’.
