Over the past week there’s been multiple reports regarding PSG interest in Richarlison.
With the French club potentially losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid before the end of the current window, the Everton player was said to be a serious option to replace him.
There was initially claims of contact between PSG and Richarlison’s camp, and then it was reported agents representing the player had held talks in Paris.
Sport Witness has been informed that’s not the case. Whilst the move would certainly be something which would tempt the forward, there’s no negotiations going on with representatives for a transfer to happen.
The coming days will see the issue of South American internationals receive a lot more coverage. Given the current quarantine rules, players travelling to countries including Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay would have to isolate in a hotel for ten days on return.
That saw the Premier League announce that players wouldn’t be released, but since then several countries have insisted their picks will travel and that FIFA back that plan.
As it stands, Richarlison won’t be travelling to Brazil for the international break. Unless ‘something changes between today and tomorrow’, the Everton star will be sitting this one out.
