Cristiano Piccini’s agent doesn’t seem overexcited after seeing his client being linked to the likes of Arsenal and Juventus.

Even though a move to these clubs would obviously be a big deal for the the Sporting right-back, his representative appears to be pretty calm about the transfer market possibilities.

Dario Ristori has spoken to Portuguese radio Renascença this Thursday, and avoided hyping things up after the player was linked to Arsenal this week.

“We’ll talk at the end of the season. I follow the news that comes out, but there is no news. We are at the end of the season and Piccini is concentrated on the last games,” Ristori told Renscença.

“He wants to win the cup final and beat Benfica. He is doing a great season, thanks to the work of the manager and thanks to the club. He’s not worried about the market.”

Piccini was linked to Arsenal by newspaper Jornal de Notícias earlier this week. The outlet made it sound like the deal was very likely to happen, even though the Gunners hadn’t made an official offer yet.

Portuguese newspapers have been disagreeing about how much would Piccini would cost. Some have been claiming that something between €15m and €20m is enough, whilst others say that more money will be needed.

Just thinking of Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho negotiating with a club like Arsenal, we can already imagine him demanding much more.
