It seems that even the Spanish press is now certain that Raul Jimenez is moving to Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.
It’s now outlet Marca who claims that there’s agreement between Wolves and Benfica, and only the official announcement is missing for the transfer to be done.
Marca’s story is mostly about the competition that Jimenez is about to get, as the squad already has Benik Afobe and Diogo Jota for the attacking positions.
They also claim that Jimenez’s arrival looks like a ‘clear sign’ Wolves will not be using their buying option over Leo Bonattini. The Brazilian striker had been on loan from Al-Hilal and could be signed for only €6m.
Earlier today, reports from the Portuguese press claimed that the deal could be made official in the ‘next few hours’. Wolves are expected to pay €5m for Jimenez’s loan fee, and will have a option to buy him for €38m at the end of the season.
