We never thought we would have to write daily Wolverhampton updates about the many players who are set to be joining the club this summer, but here we are.
After a €25m agreement between the Wolves and Benfica for the transfer of Anderson Talisca, there are a few more news about the players who are being linked.
Pelé is said to be signing on a permanent transfer. According to O Jogo, the deal is done, and the Wolves will pay €2m for the 24-year-old .
There’s now one more name included in the list, which is João Teixeira. This is not the former Liverpool midfielder, who’s currently at Porto. This is another young player who spent the last season at Benfica B and now is moving out of the club. A Bola says he’s following Talisca, Pelé and Helder Costa to the English club.
Today’s papers don’t bring any updates on the situation of Costa, Ivan Cavaleiro and Sílvio, despite the claims that the last one would be joining Wolves yesterday.
It’s really a mess, with far too many players linked and very few details being published. But as the situation is being clarified, just like it happened to Pelé today, we’ll keep bringing the updates from Portugal.
