The Argentine press continues to have several stories about Everton’s chase for the River Plate midfielder Santiago Sosa.

Back last week, it was reported that his agent would fly to England this week, where he would conclude a deal with the Premier League side.

Several amounts have been reported, all of them below the US$15m release clause which protects the player from an exit.

Now several outlets from the Argentine media brought very similar stories in the past 24 hours or so. Goal, Marca Claro and Directv all report the Toffees’ insistence in getting the player.

With the Buenos Aires side not looking to make any discounts for the 20-year-old, Everton would be finally ready to pay for the release clause and close the deal.

With those first claims saying the agent would fly to England this week, let’s wait for a few days and see where this story gets. But since the reports have a difference of around US$2m, we all know that it would never stop Everton from making a signing.
