SabahSpor claimed Galatasaray winger Bruma has an agreement to join Tottenham Hotspur for €15m, but this has been denied by the Turkish club.

Sabah reported Galatasaray will not offer Bruma the new deal the player is demanding because the board think a 100% percent pay rise wouldn’t reflect his importance to the team.

Galatasaray reportedly rejected Tottenham’s approach for Bruma during the winter transfer window because of their title ambitions, but they are now prepared to let him go at the end of the season.

The Turkish club are concerned about losing Bruma on a free transfer, so selling him to Tottenham in the next window could be their best option. His contract will expire in 2018 so Galatasaray are now under pressure to sell him.

However, Galatasary have been quick to play down claims they’ve come to an agreement with Mauricio Pochettino’s side. The Turkish giants released a statement on their website saying no offer had come in from Tottenham for the youngster.

“There has been no official offer to us, just as there is no secret agreement with the club that has been named.”

Bruma is keen on a move to the Premier League, with the youngster hoping to break into the Portugal national team. Tottenham would also be able to offer the player Champions League football.

Pochettino has been searching for an effective fast winger for a while, and Bruma could be that man. Tottenham have tried to fill the role with Clinton N’Jie, and then Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, but neither purchase worked out.

In November, Bruma’s agent Caito Balde told Sport Witness: “He wants to play in the Premier League and he’s sure he’ll be bought.”
