Struggling at Crystal Palace yet thriving away from the London club at Trabzonspor, Alexander Sørloth’s future remains up in the air.
The Süper Lig club, who have the Norwegian on loan for another year, have the option to make the move permanent for €6m, and the latest from Turkey was that he would stay put, having told his loan club he wasn’t going anywhere.
That might have been the case, but reports in Italy now state otherwise, with RAI journalist Marco Ardemagni claiming Inter have beaten Manchester City (who we had no idea were interested in the player) in the race to sign Sørloth.
He adds that Juventus also tried to insert themselves with a deal of their own, but Antonio Conte’s side have ‘in practice closed the affair’.
Finalmente!

There’s also a brief suggestion at the end that Sørloth could also end up going on loan to Parma next season if he is to sign for Inter, but we’re guessing that all depends on the Inter manager and what his plans are for the big forward.
We’ll see if this comes off, because while the Italians have been linked on and off with the forward, this all seems very sudden, and there’s also no indication who would end up being the selling club, as it wouldn’t be surprising if Trabzonspor triggered their €6m and sold him on immediately at a profit.
Should he sign, a €9m release clause in his new contract exists, but it was said the Turkish side were working to get rid of that.
If Inter and the likes of Juventus are after him, then we can’t really blame them.
