Portuguese newspaper A Bola remains very confident that Wolverhampton Wanderers full-back Ruben Vinagre is on his way to Sporting this summer.

The outlet had already reported the move this week, and in a short update today, they bring a few more details of the agreement between Wolves and Lions.

A Bola writes that Vinagre ‘will become a Sporting player’ on a loan until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Regarding the buying clause, which it’s still not known if it’ll be optional or obligatory, it’s said the latter possibility looks ‘stronger’ now.

Now despite all of A Bola’s confidence, the other newspapers who have a story on Vinagre today are still not that sure that the move is so close on being done.

As outlet Jornal de Notícias writes about the interest, they claim the Wolves player should only be signed in case Sporting get to sell Nuno Mendes, who’s wanted by the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Record reports that Vinagre has returned to England yesterday, where he’s having a quarantine period and then will join the Molineux side for the pre-season.

Even though he’s pointed out as a target for Sporting, it’s said the Lisbon club have other priorities in the market.
