As West Ham United continue to seek their first signing of the summer, Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria is said to be one of their top targets.
Talks for this transfer have been going on for a while, an the latest update on that is brought by TV Play in Italy.
There, Alberto Mauro, director of Juventus News 24, talked about the Old Lady’s recent business, and had some information on West Ham’s pursuit of Zakaria.
It’s claimed that even though there are developments, there’s still a difference between the offer and the request.
“Zakaria is very close to West Ham but there are still a few million dancing,” Alberto Mauro told TV Play.
West Ham’s pursuit of Zakaria has been getting many updates from the Italian media in the past few days, especially with outlets believing that the sale of Declan Rice will help the Hammers to offer more money for the Juventus player.
It’s been recently claimed by Turin newspaper Tuttosport that the London side would like to spend €13m on the signing, while the Old Lady’s idea is to make something between €20m and €25m with the sale.
So that may be the difference Alberto Mauro is talking about.
