Manchester United are a surprise candidate for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé, according to claims from Spain.
The forward snubbed a chance to join Real Madrid and signed a new three-year deal with the Ligue 1 winners in May.
On Tuesday, L’Equipe explained he can leave Parc des Princes for free in 2024 as the third year is optional. This has been relayed by Marca on Wednesday and when discussing his future options, Manchester United get a mention.
Although PSG announced the France international has signed a contract until 2025, the report states he can leave them a year early for nothing. The two parties have agreed they will always maintain open and direct dialogue.
Both the former AS Monaco man and PSG will know ‘what to expect’ in January 2024, when he will have [as per the report] less than six months on his deal.
In the event Mbappé decides to leave, the Premier League will be ‘waiting’ for him. Manchester United are tagged, as well as a few other English clubs.
It’s said these sides are the attacker’s ‘suitors’, likely for the summer of 2024, and that’s all they mention about the Red Devils.
The report adds Mbappé signed a new deal with a firm desire to win the Champions League, play at the 2022 World Cup as a Ligue 1 player and represent France at the next Olympics in Paris.
By then, Marca stress there will be clarity over his future.
