According to a claim in the Turkish media, Alanyaspor are showing an interest in Luton Town attacker Andros Townsend.
The Turkish side are looking to strengthen their squad in this transfer window and the former Everton player has emerged as an option.
Sports Digitale journalist Resat Can Ozbudak today reports Alanyaspor are in transfer talks to sign the Luton Town man. The Alanya club just missed out on European football last season and will be looking to bring in reinforcements this summer to put this right.
There’s no clarity on whether Alanyaspor are in talks with the player or Luton Town.
Last summer Townsend was also linked with a move to the Super Lig after reports Konyaspor were looking to sign him on a free transfer. At the time it was reported the 33-year-old had been offered a contract by the Turkish after being released by Everton.
Townsend would eventually sign for Luton Town a few months later.
He made 31 appearances last season, scoring one goal, and is contracted to the Hatters until June 2026.
