Fanatik claim Chelsea and Manchester United are following the progress of Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sørloth, who’s currently on loan at Super Lig club Trabzonspor.

The Turkish newspaper report Napoli are also interested in signing the Norwegian after becoming frustrated with their efforts to sign Lille’s Victor Osimhen, but they could face competition from both the Blues and the Red Devils.

Chelsea are expected to part ways with Michy Batshuayi and the club’s manager Frank Lampard could be looking to replace him with the Norway international.

However, given the London club are bringing in Timo Werner, this puts major doubt in their reported interest in the Crystal Palace man.

Manchester United, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood firing on all cylinders, are also not in any need to add to their attack this summer.

Sørloth has been a revelation for Trabzonspor this season after joining from Crystal Palace on loan.

He’s scored 29 goals in all competitions in this campaign and has been one of the key factors why Trabzonspor are in the title race with four games to go.

His loan with the Turkish side Trabzonspor will expire at the end of June 2021, and the Turkish club have the option to sign him permanently for €6.5m.

His contract at Selhurst Park will expire at the end of June 2022.
