AC Milan have turned their attention to Sheffield United star Iliman Ndiaye as they look to bolster their forward line this summer.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the Italian side are looking at the forward as he ‘seems to be within’ their reach while other targets may not be.
Ndiaye has been starring for Sheffield United this season, with 13 goals and eight assists in 42 games in the Championship so far and a goal and an assists in six games in the FA Cup too.
He’s naturally been linked with a move away in the summer, with clubs around Europe thought to be keeping a close eye on him.
AC Milan can now be added to that list, with Foot Mercato explaining the Champions League semi-finalists are starting to working behind the scenes on their summer targets.
They want to add a striker, a right winger and a number six to their squad and had made Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby their priority target on that front.
However, his price tag and the strong competition for him are forcing the Rossoneri to review their plan and that’s led them to look at Ndiaye instead.
The belief is that the Sheffield United star ‘seems to be within AC Milan’s reach’ and although nothing has been agreed yet, all three parties, that is the two clubs and the player, could be ‘interested’ in doing a deal.
There’s not been major progress yet, but it could pick up in the coming weeks and it a ‘matter to be followed’, according to FM’s information.
