With many departures expected this summer, Atlético Madrid are working hard on the transfer market to try and fill the void certain players will leave.

As both Filipe Luis and Lucas Hernandez are heading for the exit in the coming month or so, left-back will become a priority for the La Liga side, and Cadena Ser on their program El Larguero believe Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell is a target.

In fact, the radio show, relayed by AS, go even further than that, stating the Foxes star is the ‘main name’ to replace the departing Brazilian on the flank.

Beyond that, not much information is given, and you can expect Leicester City to fight tooth and nail to keep their defender at King Power Stadium for next season.

Then again, if Atlético do get the €120m from Antoine Griezmann’s release clause on top of the €80m they will receive for the aforementioned Hernandez, money might not be an issue for the Spaniards.

This one’s come a bit out of left field, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for any updates going forward.
