There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are showing an interest in Ipswich Town defender Leif Davis.
In recent days it’s been widely reported in Turkey that the Super Lig champions are looking to bring in a left back before the transfer window closes as they work to bolster their squad ahead of next season’s Champions League.
A Spor today report on the latest developments regarding Galatasaray’s pursuit for a left back and they say the Istanbul club are knocking on the door for the Ipswich player. It’s claimed Cimbom are lining up a €5m offer for Davis and that the 24-year-old would be interested in the move.
With Davis’ contract expiring next summer, Galatasaray are looking to take advantage of the situation and even though Ipswich Town have the option extend his current deal for a year, the Turkish media believe he doesn’t want this.
Gala have also been linked with Rangers left back Rıdvan Yılmaz after claims they are looking to move in on the player this week.
Davis made 44 appearances for the Premier League club last season, scoring three goals.
