According to Aksam, Galatasaray officials are awaiting a bid from Aston Villa for their DR Congo defender Christian Luyindama.

The Turkish champions paid €5m to sign the player this summer after an initial loan spell last season. However, Aksam say they are in line to make quick profit if the Premier League side comes in for the 25 year old.

Aksam say Galatasaray officials are expecting Aston Villa to offer at least €12m for the former Standard Liege defender and they will be happy to negotiate.

If such an offer arrives they might consider selling Luyindama as the Super Lig side need money to sign players in other positions. Gala will be competing the Champions League group stages next season and they’ve made it their priority to bring in a No.9 before the deadline.

Luyindama made 11 league appearances last season, playing some part as Galatasaray retained their league title. Cim Bom also won the Turkish cup to compete a domestic double.

He is under contract at the Turk Telekom Arena until June 2023.
