Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte brings today some interesting claims regarding the City Group’s interest in two Fluminense youngsters.
They write there are open talks for the signings of Kayky and Metinho, who’ve both been standing out at U17 level.
While the first is wanted by Manchester City, the second would start playing in another club from the City Group. Both must wait to turn 18 before they can make the move to Europe.
It won’t be easy to get these transfers, even for Manchester City, especially because Kayky has been attracting a big race for him in the past few days.
Globo Esporte writes that Shakhtar Donetsk recently made an official bid of €5m for the striker, with bonuses which could make it reach up to €15m. The negotiations are said to be ongoing.
This week, we already covered a few reports from Brazil which said Liverpool and Manchester City are also in for the player, with some claims saying the Reds are engaged in the talks as well.
So the City Group would need to work fast to get both youngsters, especially in the case of Kayky, who seems to be the priority target for Manchester City right now.
