Leroy Sané hasn’t featured for Manchester City’s first team since suffering a serious injury last August.

However, that’s not stopped the winger from being a topic of discussion, particularly in the German press. Bayern Munich have long been chasing the 24-year-old, whose contract at the Etihad runs down in 2021.

This week’s edition of SportBild brings the latest development on the Bundesliga winners’ efforts in signing the Germany international.

It’s claimed there was a ‘secrete meeting’ last week between Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić and LIAN Sports, the agency which will represent the City player going forward.

The Bavarian club’s chief has internally declared his plans to make Sané the big signing in the next window. The attacker is currently the most valuable German footballer with a market value of €100m.

Salihamidžić is driving conversations behind the scenes as he’s been in contact with LIAN Sport for a ‘long time’. LIAN Sports managing Damir Smoljan brought Sané to the agency.

Smoljan and Fali Ramadani travelled to Munich to hold talks with Bayern regarding their new client. LIAN Sports will officially start representing Pep Guardiola’s man from April 1st and SportBild adds things should start progressing at a faster pace after this month.

Bayern want to offer a five-year deal with ‘top terms’ to Sané.

SportBild states the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona could threaten his transfer to the Allianz Arena.

Bayern need to act fast in order to beat any potential competition to sign the Manchester City winger.
