Earlier today, we covered reports from Brazil which claimed that Chelsea and Corinthians continue to negotiate for the transfer of Gabriel Moscardo.
It was said that following the Blues’ bid worth €21m plus €4m in bonuses, the Timão requested €30m, making the deal a lot harder.
It turns out that according to a fresh update from journalist Bruno Andrade, Chelsea’s offer is still not rejected.
It’s claimed that even though Corinthians made that €30m request, they never really ‘ruled out 100%’ the bid made by the Blues.
Andrade says the offer is ‘still on the table’, and even though the talks are currently stuck, they shall be resumed in the coming days.
Moscardo is still 17, turning 18 this month, and that’s why Chelsea were never rushing to get the deal done this summer. Reports from Brazil say the negotiations are actually for him to move in the summer of 2024.
There’s a good reason why the Blues need to act quickly, though, which is the competition for the transfer.
The midfielder has just been called up to the U-23 national team, and will certainly draw attention from more clubs.
