With Chelsea about to complete the signing of Santos wonderkid Angelo, the Brazilian media now shares some news on the Blues’ plans for the 18-year-old.

UOL journalist Bruno Andrade writes that, at first, the winger will be used in the Blues’ pre-season.

Angelo, however, doesn’t have the guarantee he’ll be part of Chelsea’s squad in 2023/24. It’s said he’ll be tested by Mauricio Pochettino and his staff in this period.

According to Bruno Andrade, in case the youngster isn’t approved, then he should be loaned somewhere else, and it’s ‘very likely’ it’s Strasbourg who’ll take him.

The news about Angelo’s move to Chelsea was broken today. It was first Spanish outlet Sport who said the Blues were the best positioned to land him, and soon after that, Brazilian journalist Venê Casagrande claimed the deal was about to be done for £15m.

Recent updates said the player has already taken part in the first medical tests, and a six-year contract is waiting for him. So even if the London side loan him out, there’s a long commitment waiting for his evolution.
