Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers have Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen on their radar, according to journalist Nacho Sanchis.

He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say both Chelsea and Wolves have ‘sounded him out’.

The stopper kept six clean sheets and conceded 64 goals this season. Despite this, his displays have made him ‘stand out in a positive way’ and removed any doubts that were around him at the start of the campaign.

Jorgensen climbed through the ranks of the Yellow Submarine’s academy and made his way into the first team in January 2023, before cementing his place this season.

The 22-year-old performances have seen Chelsea and Wolves take notice, and it’s claimed the Premier League duo have carried out polls to find out the conditions needed to sign him. His deal lasts until 2027 and includes a €40m release clause.

According to Sanchis, the La Liga side ‘would expect a high amount of money’, suggesting they are open to parting ways with him for a fee less than his clause, without mentioning figures.

Faced with the possibility of losing the Dane, Villarreal have been looking for a goalkeeper in the market.
