Chelsea have emerged as a new contender for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Marc Cucurella.

A week ago, we covered claims made by Tutto Juve that Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are evaluating signing the left-back in the summer.

Both Spurs and the Serie A side are joined by Chelsea in the chase for the Brighton & Hove Albion player.

That’s according to another report from Tutto Juve, who explain the Blues ‘also want’ the 23-year-old.

Graham Potter’s side took the Spaniard from Getafe last summer, and he made 33 league starts in his debut season in the Premier League. His fine performances for the Seagulls saw him win the club’s Men’s Player of the Season award earlier this week.

Although Tutto Juve’s title states Chelsea ‘want’ Cucurella, within the report they explain there is ‘still nothing concrete to try and sign him’. The Seagulls star is ‘one of the options’ for the west London club.

Thomas Tuchel’s side ‘must first close the exits’ of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri to make room to sign Cucurella or another player in the same position. Apart from Chelsea, Spurs and Juventus also ‘like’ Potter’s man.
