Over the past few months, there has been a lot of talk that Chelsea have already sorted out a deal to sign Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig.
The versatile forward will miss the World Cup due to injury, but beyond that, the belief is the Frenchman will move to Stamford Bridge.
This has been reported a few times around Europe, and Le10 Sport in France bring their latest information matter, and title their article with the claim the transfer to Chelsea is ‘well and truly completed’.
This took place as early as June 23rd, when he extended his contract with RB Leipzig, at which point he ‘reached an agreement’ with the club to ‘add two years to his deal’, as long as they included ‘a release clause fixed at €60m’.
Meanwhile, his agent, Pini Zahavi ‘organised his exit for the summer of 2023’, which is when he started talking to Chelsea and reached an agreement.
Le10 Sport then explain that ‘everything has been completed since this summer between all parties’.
As for the changes at Chelsea, with those being the sacking of Thomas Tuchel and appointment of Graham Potter as manager, they will ‘not change anything’.
Prior to his injury, the 25-year-old Frenchman had once again been in incredible form for the Bundesliga side, scoring 17 goals and assisting four others in 23 appearances.
