Takvim report Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has met with Dutch agent Rob Jansen to discuss signing Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
Jansen was in Istanbul earlier this week for talks with Fenerbahce regarding his client Philipp Cocu, who’s expected to become the Turkish side’s next manager.
Takvim say during these talks Comolli asked Jansen about the possibility of signing Van Ginkel. The Dutchman also represents the Chelsea player.
According to Takvim, Van Ginkel is open for a move to Fenerbahce and the Turkish club are expected to begin talks with Chelsea.
Comolli is now expected to travel London for talks with Chelsea officials and Fenerbahce are set to make a loan offer with an option to buy. Cocu is said to be keen on a reunion with Van Ginkel following their time together at PSV.
The Netherlands international played 28 games for PSV last season, scoring 14 goals.
