Santa Fé are reportedly close to signing the Chelsea youngster Joao Rodríguez on loan. The Colombian club expect to announce the player’s arrival soon, according to local reports.
The website Futbol Red claims the deal as done, as Santa Fé are only waiting for Chelsea’s response to confirm the signing. They mention Rodríguez as one of the youngsters with most potential in Colombian football.
Rodríguez signed for Chelsea from Quindío in 2012 and has been loaned out to several clubs since then.
He spent the last season at Sint-Truiden, in Belgium, where he played only 310 minutes in 12 appearances.
