Chelsea are ‘tempting’ Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface into a move this summer but will need to pay big to secure his signature.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say the Blues are very much keeping an eye on the 23-year-old as they look for the striker that their squad desperately needs.

Boniface has been one of the stars of the show for Bayer Leverkusen this season, with ten goals and seven assists in 16 games in the Bundesliga and another four goals and one assist in five games in the Europa League.

He’s proven to be one of the signings of the season after Leverkusen paid €20.5m to sign him from Union SG in July 2023 and he could be set for another big switch this year.

SportBILD report that Chelsea are ‘tempting’ the striker, who is currently out injured with an adductor injury, seeking to lure him to Stamford Bridge.

Goalscoring has been a real problem for the Blues this season, with the current Chelsea squad lacking a real striker up front and it seems they feel Boniface could be the answer to the problem.

Leverkusen, though, are completely uninterested in selling at this point and would use the player’s €40m current valuation as a starting point at least.

With Boniface locked into a deal until 2028 they have no need to sell on the cheap either, meaning Chelsea would have to open their chequebook once again if they want him for next season.
