Despite reports today claiming that Enzo Fernandez has missed the training session at Benfica while he’s negotiating with Chelsea, the Portuguese press now brings their own version of this story.
Lisbon outlet A Bola shares a piece claiming that the midfielder was actually present at the Eagles’ training centre this morning.
The only detail there is that Fernandez reportedly did not go to the pitch, as he stayed at the gym. A Bola got the information from their sources and then managed to confirm his presence by seeing him leaving the facilities after the session.
As Chelsea continue the negotiations for the signing, the latest reports from Argentina claimed these are ‘crucial hours’ for the deal.
Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo said in his last update that the agreement is starting ‘to take shape’ with the Blues offering €120m for the transfer.
The final decision is said to be in the hands of Benfica president Rui Costa. There’s not a lot of time for him to think about it, and neither should the Blues increase their offer a lot more.
