Bayern Munich will be willing to sell Niklas Sule if Chelsea make a serious move for him this summer.

That’s according to journalist Marcel Reif, who believes Bayern will take a deal for the German defender as it will allow them to get Dayot Upamecano.

Sule has been linked with a move to Chelsea over the last week, with it believed new Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is keen to improve his defence next season.

The German centre back is one of several potential targets in that regard, with it felt the 25-year-old could be a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva.

Those rumours were dismissed this week by Bayern boss Hansi Flick, who brushed off suggestions that Bayern would be open to a sale if Chelsea came calling.

However, Reif thinks differently and can see the German champions accepting a deal as it would allow them to get long-term target Upamecano from RB Leipzig.

“I don’t know if the really big goals will be reached, so many of them are certainly a topic,” he told BILD.

“My suspicion is if Chelsea and Tuchel really put something down and start on Sule, Bayern will say we’ll take Upamecano because we’ll get him, he wants to come.

“I could imagine movement in that direction.”
