When we see transfer stories from Italian websites, most of them are encouraging and boosting some rumours, especially when they originally come from the English press.
But there’s something pretty different this time, Calcio Mercato dismisses one of the stories which have been out in the past week.
They bring an article saying there’s nothing between Chelsea and Krzysztof Piatek for now, as the Blues haven’t made any moves to sign the Milan player in January.
It’s added that Milan are actually not very interested in selling the attacker, who was signed in a €35m deal from Serie A side Genoa in January this year.
Calcio Mercato still mentions an ‘valuation’ of the Polish forward, which would be the very same €35m.
Piatek has made eight appearances for Milan this season so far, finding the back of the net on three occasions, all of them in Serie A. His contract with AC Milan runs until 2023.
