Chelsea still chasing Thomas Tuchel favourite – Had ‘best season of his career’, ‘interest is growing’

Earlier in March, Borussia Mönchengladbach star Jonas Hofmann hinted it’s possible that Chelsea are one of the clubs who have inquired for him.

Operating on either wing, Hofmann finished the campaign on a brighter note with six goals and 11 assists in 24 league matches.

Kicker on Thursday now explain the ‘interest is growing’ in the 28-year-old, who has had his ‘best season of his career’, and this could lead to change of clubs in the summer.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is an admirer of the Germany international, and the west London club are one of the clubs ‘interested’ in the player.

The attacker has two more years left on his contract and despite attracting attention from unknown La Liga clubs, the magazine explain a move to the Premier League ‘would be most likely’.

Hofmann has no release clause attached to his contract and if Tuchel wants his favourite at Stamford Bridge next season, the Blues must find an agreement with Borussia Mönchengladbach to get the deal over the line.
