With Argentine outlet TyC Sports still having a reporter in England to speak to many players to won the World Cup last year, and after Tottenham’s Cristian Romero, it was Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez who had a word with them today.
The trophy won in Qatar was once again the main subject in the conversation, with them talking a lot about what happened in the final against France.
This time, TyC Sports made a few questions about Fernandez’s discussion with Kylian Mbappé, as the PSG star was seen saying something to the Chelsea player that was not caught on camera, even though Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero clearly saw that.
Enzo Fernandez didn’t want to reveal what Mbappé said to him, but pointed out that once Argentina scored, Tottenham’s Romero went straight to the Frenchman to celebrate.
“We argued a bit on the field. I don’t really like to tell what happens. I had said some things, but that remains on the field,” Enzo Fernandez told TyC Sports.
“Cuti is crazy, he yelled the goal in his face!”
Romero and Fernandez were both starters in Argentina’s 3-3 draw with France, which ended up with the South American side winning on penalties.
Romero was already a Tottenham player by then, but Fernandez’s performance in that final was certainly one of the factors that convinced Chelsea to spend €121m to sign him from Benfica in January.
