Cesc Fabregas played a crucial role in helping Chelsea win the Premier League in his debut season at the club, but now finds himself on the bench more often than he’d like to be.
The Spaniard has managed just 32 minutes of league football so far this season under Antonio Conte, and that has led to rumours suggesting that not everything is well between the duo.
Fabregas has responded to speculation claiming he is not on good terms with Antonio Conte in an interview with Spanish radio outlet Cadena Cope.
He said: “I read I almost fought with Conte and it almost made me laugh. Conte has his very own philosophy. He is very tough and tells you things to your face.”
We don’t know if Fabregas and Conte are on good terms, but it’s not really surprising to see rumours about a conflict between the duo because the Spaniard has been dropped from the starting XI.
Earlier, Fabregas also put a series of tweets to deny such rumours, and claimed that he has a good relationship with Conte.
Conte, recently, had also praised Fabregas’ attitude during training, and insisted the Spaniard is showing he deserves to play.
Fabregas is repeatedly followed by claims of problems with managers, a lot of which will obviously be exaggerated. However, if he’s to be a Chelsea regular then he needs to convince Conte, and to be to Fabregas he’s overall done a decent job in that regard when given a chance.
