Despite claims from the player’s agent that he wanted to succeed at Chelsea and has not intention of changing clubs, Sport in Spain reckon Enzo Fernández wants to leave Stamford Bridge.
In fact, he has one destination, and that’s Barcelona, as the newspaper report on Friday that the Argentine midfielder has ‘offered himself’ to the La Liga giants.
They claim outright that Fernández ‘wants to leave’ Chelsea and is ‘seduced’ by putting on Barcelona’s shirt, with the sole, big problem being that he’s under contract with the Blues until 2032.
Still, despite adding another year on his contract recently, the player ‘does not give up’ and has decided to propose his services to the Catalonian club ‘through his agent’ to try and find out whether this could be a move they could put together.
Right now, Sport say that is ‘highly unlikely’, taking into account how much Chelsea paid for him in the first place, the amount of years left on his contract and the financial situation Barcelona find themselves in.
However, they do add that, in football, ‘the word impossible does not exist’, suggesting there could be something to be worked on in what would undoubtedly be a financially complex transfer.
