Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has insisted he hasn’t spoken to any other club about his future at this moment in time.

Rudiger is in the final year of his contract, and so far, there has been no progression on an extension, despite the Blues being keen for it to happen.

That’s led to speculation about his future, with it reported that several of Europe’s top sides are eyeing the German defender on a free transfer next summer.

The latest added to the list are Bayern Munich, with it reported in Germany this week that they had already been in touch with the Chelsea man’s agent.

He’s now commented on the situation and insists that he personally hasn’t spoken to anyone but Chelsea.

“For me, this will now be the most important decision of my professional career. I haven’t spoken to any other club than Chelsea,” Sky Sport Germany report him saying.

They also back up the recent report from SportBILD about Bayern Munich, stating that there was a ‘casual’ first contact with Rudiger’s agent and half-brother Sahr Senesie.

They say the German champions are looking for a replacement for Niklas Sule, whose contract also expires next summer.

According to them, the Chelsea man ‘fits the bill perfectly’ because he’s available on a free, has a ‘comparatively modest’ €6m a year salary and is ‘above reproach’ in sporting terms.

Rudiger, though, doesn’t want to “rush into anything” despite talks with Chelsea, which were started just under two months ago, having not yet produced an agreement.

That means we’re sure to hear plenty more about this in the coming months, with the Blues working hard on a new deal and the rest of Europe seemingly watching closely.
