As Spanish outlet AS today speaks of Real Madrid’s transfer plans for the summer, they come up with interesting news regarding their interest in a Chelsea player.
According to their report, the La Liga giants are ‘attentive’ to Reece James, even though they know how ‘complicated’ that signing would be.
AS writes that Chelsea are not used to selling unless there’s no other way, and since the fullback recently renewed his contract until 2028, he’s very well protected.
It’s claimed that the club need to sort their financial issues, with ‘extreme need to generate income’, and with James being one of their most valuable assets, his departure could be a quick solution.
Chelsea are playing the Galacticos in the Champions League very soon, and according to AS, that will be a good opportunity for Florentino Perez and José Angel Sanchez to know the Blues’ ‘new board’.
It’s said they had a good relationship with Roman Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia, and now they could build a friendship with Todd Boehly to try to get James signed.
