Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are following Milan Škriniar’s situation at Inter Milan.

The centre-back has just over six months left on his contract and there is lack of clarity over what he plans to do with his future beyond this season.

FcInterNews have a report discussing the 27-year-old’s demands to sign a new deal at the San Siro, and they cover Chelsea and PSG as contenders to sign him.

Simone Inzaghi’s side have started working on the Slovakia international’s renewal after the Ligue 1 winners failed to sign him in the summer window.

The Nerazzurri’s offer includes a salary of €5.5m per year plus €500,000 in bonuses. This won’t be enough since the defender wants €6.5m annually plus bonuses. He is currently on vacation and there will be new talks with Inter regarding his future next month.

Meanwhile, PSG are at the window for Škriniar, and an eye must be kept on Chelsea. The ex-Sampdoria man is not the first-choice target for the Blues and is behind the RB Leipzig duo of Joško Gvardiol and Mohamed Simakan.

That doesn’t mean Graham Potter’s side have not taken any steps to potentially sign him. It’s claimed that 20 days ago, Chelsea ‘showed up again’ with Škriniar’s representatives.

A lot will depend on the player, who has given priority to continuing at Inter. The ball now passes to their leaders to make an effort to retain Škriniar.
